What does 'in advanced training under teaching supervision' mean?
I am in the final stage of my multi-year training as a Systemic Psychotherapist. This authorizes me to practice psychotherapy independently. For additional quality assurance, my work is continuously supervised and reflected upon by experienced teaching supervisors.
What possibilities does psychotherapy open up?
Psychotherapy can help when you wish for change, feel burdened or at a loss. New perspectives and solutions can emerge in our conversations – during crises, inner conflicts, or recurring patterns.
I work systemically. This means: We look not only at the problem, but at the entire relationship context as well as your personal strengths and resources.

What might bring you to me:

Transitions & Decisions
When personal or professional decisions arise, or changes like separation, job loss, or illness call for new direction. Gaining clarity and developing the next meaningful step.

Growth & Self-Discovery
Understanding yourself better, curiously exploring your inner world and unfolding hidden potential. Step by step toward a coherent self-image and new clarity.

Exhaustion & Pressure
When motivation is lacking, overwhelm increases, or an inner emptiness becomes noticeable. Finding relief and regaining sustainable access to your own sources of strength.

Relationships & Identity
Conflicts in partnership or family, questions about alternative relationship forms, or your own role in close relationships. Clarifying and strengthening your place together.

Body & Trauma
When stress, sleep problems, or overwhelming experiences affect your sense of safety in your own body. Gradually building stability and inner security.

Neurodivergence
Understanding ADHD or autistic traits as part of your own experience. Finding support that respects, takes seriously, and appreciatively accompanies your neurodiverse perception.
About me

Empathetic, resource-oriented, and on equal footing.
My name is Stefanie Kiesling. I appreciate people in all their diversity, with their edges and corners. I meet them with optimism, appreciation, and a calm, present attitude.
Born in 1980 and raised in Klagenfurt, my psychology studies took me to Graz before I found my current home in Vienna in 2005. Today I work as a psychotherapist in advanced training under teaching supervision and have been working for many years as an outplacement consultant and career coach.
In my work, I am guided by respect, curiosity, and the deep conviction that you already carry the solution to your issues within you. I see myself as your companion on your individual path. A space without judgment is particularly important to me – a place where everything is welcome and your strengths take center stage.
I find strength in stillness and in movement – on the yoga mat, in meditation, during sports, or in nature. This mindfulness, gentleness, and presence shape not only my private life but also my therapeutic work.

Individual, Couples, or Family Therapy?
Depending on the concern, systemic therapy works in different 'settings': Often it makes sense to look at a topic individually. Sometimes, however, it is better to work within the 'system': as a couple, as a family, or in combination with other relevant people. And even in individual therapy, 'guests' are always welcome when it serves the purpose! For couples therapy, group therapy, and family sessions, the framework (single or double sessions and process) is arranged by agreement.
